Live News Inserts for DW TV

Deutsche Welle TV is the German state TV company, similar in the UK to the BBC.

We were contacted to cover a feature in Birmingham (UK) by the broadcaster for a live news uplink. Our role was to film the feature and meet-up with the uplink service for transmission on the end of day news.

Services Provided:

Planning & coordination. We worked with the producers in Germany, and the local company to arrange the shoot. As it was a live news feature planning and timing was critical. Also involved coordination with the uplink unit to ensure the transmission was available on time.

Filming. We provided a cameraman and sound recordist for the shoot, shooting 4K in case the footage was needed after the news transmission.
